Together again.
Enzo passed his 5 days of monitoring and the let him go home today at 11am!
Then we spent the next 90 minutes changing diapers, getting peed on, feeding two kids half a meal, and loading them into the two car seat stroller I planned ahead and ordered ( first time ever ) and then didn’t test till last night. Oops. Wrong adapters.
So we spent the first hour of his freedom driving to Snugglebugz to pickup the right adapters…. Guess what? Ordered the wrong ones again! This time the woman working there took pity on me, maybe she was afraid I’d freak out and cause a scene on account of my own stupidity, so she sold us the demo model’s adapters! Thank you Burlington Snugglebugz.
Finally got the boys home and it’s been a trip! We couldn’t be happier.
Ariane is doing great and on top of all the pregnancy complications and recoveries, she’s finally able to take something for her Bell’s Palsy to hopefully get the other side of her face back sooner!
So there you have it. Was a super short stay at the NICU, and the nurses there were awesome and made it way easier to be home with Elliot a little more and focus on him and mom getting better knowing he was in amazing hands. Those nurses are superheroes for sure. 🦸♀️🦸🦸♂️🦹♀️🦹🦹♂️🧙♂️❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
You may unsubscribe now, lest you want some random emotional midnight ramblings of a sleepless dad in few months or something.
Thanks for being so interested in knowing what’s going on…. Like I said short and sweet stay with minimal complications, but it can still take it out of you. I don’t know how the parents with kids who spend more time in there get by. My heart goes out to them, and those of you who went through it. ❤️❤️❤️
