Yes this post is about Charlie Kirk. Actually, it’s about what’s happening after his death.
I am absolutely stunned at the number of people across the globe that are getting behind the movement around this idiot‘s death. We know from the public record about his racism, his desire to send women back 100 years, and other generally right wing supported ideology. Should he have been shot for this? I don’t think so. However, what’s more concerning is the number of places around the globe that are standing up as though he now represents a martyr of a movement.
It’s disgustingly embarrassing that the Canadian parliament asked for an ovation for him. The European parliament did the right thing by denying the request for a moment of silence.
But what the hell people? He was an American nobody that made his living on hatred. Why does it seem like people all over the world are rising up in his favour? Did you not see what he did for a living and how he made his name? And further, he was an American. Not that that’s a problem in itself, but why are other countries and people who have no relationship to America suddenly wearing his T-shirt and going to his rallies?
