- Amazon's vibe-coding tool Kiro reportedly vibed too hard and brought down AWS: We've entered the age of "AI unaccountability!" Before, it was common to blame "the system" for any issues (still happens at the airport!). Now, the blame shifts back to humans (AI is really learning!).
- Bikeshed memories: When I moved to Cambridge, UK, I'd bike to work and occasionally chat with a colleague from Microsoft Research parking at the same bikeshed. At 75, what impressed me most wasn't his fitness — it was his remarkable ability to bike in a suit! Thanks for the memories, Sir Antony Hoare.
