Everyone knows the phrase “Teamwork makes the dream work” but not many people actually experience this profound (I don’t use that word lightly) statement.
Individuality is important, and necessary to find our own path in the world, but there’s just something totally magic about human beings working well together.
The main stumbling block to real teamwork is of course Trust, and it’s not easily achieved.
It requires vulnerability, and the courage to engage in respectful conflict.
It requires a constant re-shifting of priorities from ‘me’ to ‘us’, which can be bloody hard.
-
We’ve been taught to compete against each other, to win (at all costs), so we often see others as adversaries - even when we’re on the same team.
Deep down though, we crave to be part of something bigger. Something none of us can build or create alone.
{When 1+1 equals much more than 2 🙂}

Hopefully you’ll laugh, (and if you’re like me) cry, and find it truly inspiring.
