Recently I decided to write some micro essays based on pictures or photos using exactly 100 words. I understand that imposing a specific and brief word count limitation teaches efficiency. Perhaps that's true. At this point, I mostly find this exercise of writing a coherent story with just 100 words to be difficult.
The collection of 100 word essays is not a diary, but many of them are - and will be - influenced by personal experiences over the past six plus decades of my life.
I plan to scribble out a few of these essays per week. Other posts, random musings on a variety of topics, will be interspersed with these 100 word essays from time to time. I may also post essays that I wrote for a create writing class a I took a few hears ago...I haven't decided about that yet (Edit: I posted them).
To be clear I am considering this a workspace for the 100 word essays. I consider them to be drafts and I'll likely continue to edit them over time. I'm not promoting these essays and have no expectation that any one is reading them. However, if anyone has magically found their way here, is reading the essays, and has comments (all welcome!) please send them to me at: rtracy@hey.com.
Let's see how this goes.
