No One Gets Embarrassed on Your Watch

"The best leaders never let someone get embarrassed when they are around, or rather... "on their watch."

This idea that a leader makes sure that others are safe was really challenging to me. In essence, it means that I stand up for others in public, regardless of the cost to me, so they don't have to live through the pain of embarrassment... at least not alone.

I have not always done well at this in my work life, and I am challenged to work on this going forward.

The critical question to ask yourself: "Do people feel more or less sage when I am in the room?"

I'm attaching a video that is a great example of Admired Leadership - of someone who would not let another person be embarrassed on his watch.
