How’s your morning routine?
This question has been on my mind lately as what used to be a quiet morning routine (in the Summer months) has become a busy, kids-bustling-around time of the day. Lunches are being packed, permission slips are being signed, clothes are being found, etc.
For whatever reason, this morning was different. My oldest had left for school and the house was totally quiet for 10 minutes before the next wave of activity.
Deep silence…
Those 10 minutes gave me a chance to savor the solitude, to enter more deeply into prayer, to really ask the Lord for his grace and mercy. It was a sweet, and rare, gift.
Sometimes, all you need is five minutes to enter into prayer. Try your best to seek it out and when the Lord provides it to you, savor each moment.
