For many of us, waiting ranks low on our list of preferred things. Today’s Psalm from the Mass reminds us that waiting is ok and might actually be good for us.
“Wait for the Lord, take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)
Consider all of the things you are waiting for- a package to arrive, your birthday to come, a new movie to stream, a deadline to be met, or your body to change. There’s a lot of waiting going on. So long as we invite the Lord into our waiting, it can be redeemed and blessed.
It’s ok to wait.
