On most days, prayer feels remarkably ordinary. We hope for fireworks but they rarely come. Instead, we get a partly cloudy forecast.
Many sports coaches will talk about being in “the right position” to make a tackle, take a shot or receive a pass. Prayer is quite similar.
To pray daily, intentionally, is to put yourself in a position to receive something special from the Lord. A word, a sense, a message… There will be a lot of ordinary but being faithful to showing up will give God the space to bring you all that you need.
