I’m part of a men’s group called the Men of Saint Joseph. Sponsored by the Shrine of Saint Joseph (in Stirling, NJ), the group was born during covid times. Guys could not gather in person so we used Zoom to meet.
Three years later, the group still gathers and it’s quite meaningful. We’ve learned to combine in-person events (about three a year) with our Zoom calls. The guys really want to live their faith on a deep level.
What’s been just as helpful as the online sessions are the relationships that form in between the meetings. John T., an attorney from New Jersey, shared with me the Edward Sri podcast, All Things Catholic, and it’s become a “listening staple” of mine for the past few months.
Sri’s recent episode dealt with the unique interplay between the will, the intellect and our emotions. You can have a listen here. If you ever feel as if your intentions to live a particular way just aren’t as strong as you’d like them to be, the podcast will help.
Which faith-related podcasts do you find most helpful?
-Mike
PS: if you’d like to be added to the Men of Saint Joseph email list, just let me know. We always have room for more and guys from all over the United States participate.
