Sometimes, it just so happens that you end up watching a movie when you're dreaming. I just want to put it to ink for posterity.

A monster in the sky
I was driving to Mumbai from Pune when a traffic jam near Lonavala stopped me. We were experiencing intermittent rains in our region since yesterday night, but it was non-stop near Lonavala. A police person came to me and said, "all travel through Lonavala is stopped, sir. You'll have to go back."
But how? There's no U turn.
"You can enter Lonavala, but you'll have to take the express way path back to Pune."
I am okay with that. Meeting with a relative isn't as important. Slowly and steadily as the traffic moved, we entered Lonavala, and there it was. A dense black cloud in the sky. It made 1pm look like dusk. We are no where close to the evening. The route back to Pune was on the right. But if I go straight and take left, I'll reach Tiger point.
I am not sure if they will let me take that route. Let's see.
Another policeman.
"Sir, all routes to Tiger point are closed. You have to go back."
God damn my curiosity.
"I just need to know what is it."
"Everybody does, sir. They have people from all over the world coming in. They put drones up there."
"And what did they find? Alien?"
"That's the surprising part sir. It has to be an alien. But it's actually a reptile. Like a snake."
"A snake that big? In the sky?"
"Yes sir. Someone said dragon, I'm calling it sheshnaag."
"You are allowed to discuss all this with me?"
"Sir there has been no guideline. Everything is in your face. People put there own drones in the sky and recorded that monster. Everyone has some or the other detail on it, should be in the news by now."
I take the right turn back to Pune. From here it looks like a giant cloud cover, and nothing more. But at about 2 kilo meters above, it's a flying snake that appeared out of thin air half an hour ago.
God damn.
It's been raining since yesterday night. Intermittent rains and not too heavy. Roads aren't flooded yet. I wonder if this monster has something to do with it.
What is it? It hasn't done anything. It's alive, and that's something that people have confirmed. Is it a dragon? Will it rain fire on our cities? Is it sleeping? What is it that it wants? Is it even terrestrial?
Wait, what is this gurgling? Oh my god, I can see lightning on my rear view.
God damn, this shit is scary. I'll leave my car run towards the side for safety. And so does everyone else. We see the giant dark grey cloud move and we can see lightning fall on the city. The snake is uncoiling. I can see it crawl in the sky with its mouth approaching us. It's uncoiling even further, it's streching its mouth and above us. I'm right under its huge head and neck as it crawls in the sky.
It's turning.
It's turning and going somewhere else.
Wait, it's coiling itself up, again. It's coiled itself and settled. It's now a cloud again. Meanwhile, it would have electrocuted huge parts of the jungles where lightning fell. I cannot say if this creature's superpower is electric discharge, or just the fact that movement of such an enormous existence can cause ionisation and lightning. It could be anything at this point.
The animal has curled up and settled. In the sky.
I am heading back to my car. Hopefully, I can go home and find something insightful about the creature. The world is a different place starting today.
I have a simple question.
What is it?
