Destination: Staying an extra night in Willamette Valley
After breakfast, we took an early bike ride along the Willamette River to the town of Butteville, an historic village with a country store, which was closed, and a post office. Our total ride in this beautiful park was 8+ miles.
We exercized Quinnbo upon our return then we were off to Safeway and Wolves and People Farm Brewery, one suggested by Rachel.
Their farm was quaint, with hazelnet trees surrounding the outside patio, and hazelnut shells beneath our feat. I had an ale with coffee undertones, which was fabulous. Van enjoyed a nice Heffeweisen.
This place was very dog friendly, so Quinnbo was happy to join us. He was interested in trying the hazelnut shells, until he learned there were no nuts.
It was a pleasant late afternoon, where we saw the sun set over the farmland.
Dinner was light - soup cooked on the stove. We enjoyed another campfire with leftover wood from the previous night.
We really liked the Willamette Valley. Thank you State of Oregon for the care of your land and for this beautiful camp stay.
