Destination: Van and Quinnbo's TCB vacation at Lake Tahoe

While I was working and learning with my "peeps" at Art Quilt Tahoe, Van spent his week a mile down the road at Zephyr Point Campground and Resort in TCB with Quinnbo as his sidekick.

Van reports that he spent the days riding his Rad Ebike on bike trails along the lake. Meanwhile, Quinnbo spent this time lounging in TCB, which was especially comfy for him during this time, as he didn't have to worry about rumble strips or rough roads.

Van and Quinnbo took daily walks along the Lake Tahoe beach.  The campground was across the street from the lakefront, requiring a pedestrian to use the walkway at the traffic  to cross busy US50.

As a result, Van reported that Quinnbo was not only afraid of rumble strips, he was not a fan of flashing lights and loud beeps. This was problematic when Van cooked his steak in a fry pan on TCB's propane stovetop. TCB is equipped with all sorts of safety features, including a sensitive smoke detector alarm. These are traits of a pup who was raised in the bucolic, rural hills of Norfolk, Connecticut. Poor Quinnbo.

Van also reported that Quinnbo was jealous of the neighbor's large dog pen encircling their big rig, a setup we have seen often during our adventures. Sorry Quinnbo, no room for such creature comforts in TCB.

Here are some of Van's photographs taken with Eric's hand-me-down DSLR, something he has been looking forward to, now that he is retired from teaching "the T-P boys."
