An easy hike near Magadi - 11th May 2024 - from Bangalore

Easy beginner-friendly hike near Magadi (https://maps.app.goo.gl/iqfeYHanyxKZPWAx8)

Co-organised with Ekta.

Pricing: ₹1200 (transport & food not included)

The starting location is a 10-minute drive from Magadi town. (So please check how far Magadi is from your location & add 10 minutes to the driving time)

Hiking distance: 3.8 km in total (including lakeshore)

This hike takes you to the top of a rocky hill with a cave system (we will spend some time in the cave; observing the life inside it). This hill is also next to a beautiful lake.

Logistics:

We start at 6 am from Silk Board.
It might not make sense for some of you to pass through Silk Board. If that’s the case, please reach Magadi town by 8 am (or 8:15 if you’re having breakfast en route)

Meeting point in Magadi. https://maps.app.goo.gl/MNH9bMJWzKKVDcms7

We plan to start hiking by 8:30 am.
And start heading back by 1 pm. (Estimate to enter the city ~2:30 pm & from there on it all depends on the traffic in the city)

It will be great if you are driving a car, we encourage folks to carpool (will of course share the fuel costs). Please mention the number of empty spots in your car.

The last few hundred meters of the village road are unmetalled, so drive your car carefully in this section.
