Added sugars

"Added sugars include sugars that are added during the processing of foods (such as sucrose or dextrose), foods packaged as sweeteners (such as table sugar), sugars from syrups and honey, and sugars from concentrated fruit or vegetable juices. They do not include naturally occurring sugars that are found in milk, fruits, and vegetables. The Daily Value for added sugars is 50 grams per day based on a 2,000 calorie daily diet." - FDA

Food makers put added sugars in almost everything. They put it in foods we would not expect and don't need more processed sugar. Added sugars are killing us. So the FDA updated the Nutrition Facts label to show Added Sugars. Now we can make an educated decision about what food we want to buy.

Xactimate should have an Added Sugars label. Many mitigation companies put line items in their estimates that are not needed. They put air scrubbers on clean water, charge for 10 fans in a room when 4 is enough, charge for thermal pictures when a moisture meter is what's needed - the list goes on. Added sugars are killing homeowners premiums and insurance company's loss ratios.
