During a recent event at Yale.edu I stayed at the Red Roof in Milford, Connecticut.
I was impressed. Amazing value. Red Roof was just what I needed.
So, I said to myself "Tom, you are always doing these day trips, speaking gigs, etc. You are 'in town' for the event. It's not a vacation. You are working. And what about all of the colleges, all of the universities with parents coming to visit their kids?" And how about all of the remote workers who are in town for a few days, working on a project. They are in the area because they are.....working.
Gee, I wonder if Red Roof has any type of discount program we could offer our millions of NYDLA | NADLA members? So, I called them.
Red Roof: What do you do? We went to your website, we are not sure what you do.....?
Me: Ah, think of us like AARP but for EDUCATION. Lifelong Learning. All things 'remote' as distance learning became DIGITAL Learning and now it's all just DIGITAL LIVING. AARP has AARP.org and JoinAARP.org websites.
