Ring Bell For Service

unnamed (3).webp

I have rented a PO BOX in BOONTON USA since 1983. There is only one 'Boonton' in the USA. Around 30 miles West of Times Square it is a perfect little town. Train Station and Bus to NYC on the hour. Years ago BOONTON was an Iron Foundry. The town's history prompted me to launch BoontonWorks.com - The Business Foundry. But that is a post for another day.

Our company is very active selling AI. All things AI but especially tools for Ecommerce, and Phone Systems and Websites and such. And the most popular AI tool that we offer is an AI chat bot for your website. ANY size website. There are many brands of AI tools and we sell them all. It is my job to 'kick the tires' on new telecom and technology solutions, and then we offer them (the good ones) to our members, to our clients, to our community.

Putting an AI chat bot (or AI powered phone number) on your website is now expected. It is like having a front door - you will need a doorbell. Or at least a door knocker. We have all walked into a little shop with a 'bell' at the top of the door. You open the door and the little bell rings. It has been that way for 150 years, right? When that little bell at the top of the door rings out it is the universal sound of 'Welcome to my Shop!'

Almost every day since 1983 I would go to the BOONTON MAIN STREET Post Office to get the mail. And I noticed they had a little 'ring bell for service' on the counter from day one. They ALSO have a button on the wall with a sign that says 'Push for Service' which rings a much louder electric bell, like a school bell. If for some reason there is no one at the counter, you can ring the bell. Or you can ring the bells. Up to you.

So they have two bells. One, an old manual bell on the counter, and the other an electric one on the wall. They are not taking any chances, right? I think that in the 40+ years that I have been a customer of the BOONTON MAIN STREET Post Office I have pushed that button on the wall once. MAYBE twice. Because most of the time there WAS someone at the counter. There was no need to ring the bell. Any bell.

I also remember one time ringing the bell on the counter (bing bing bing) during a busy Christmas Season and I said out loud (the lobby was packed with busy people - everyone was in a rush, no one was happy to be there) "Every Time a Bell Rings an Angel Gets their Wings"

I got a laugh.

HERE is the point of THIS post: putting an AI chat bot on your website is like having a bell on the counter. It is telling the world that you are here to service the customer. You are taking positive steps to provide the best customer service possible. Just a few years ago, people were debating if they even needed a website. Today you cannot imagine not having a website, even a simple one. Or you have a Shopify or BigCommerce or WooCommerce store online.

You will have an AI chat bot on your website. Not having AI to greet your customers would be like having a door without a doorbell. Soon, visiting a website that is not supported by AI technology will feel wrong. It will feel off

We sell every make and model of AI chat bot but I have a favorite. Every day AI gets smarter and smarter and more powerful. It feels very human and it will only get better over time. If you want to learn more or get a free trial for your website just email: RingMyBell@MTP-USA.com and I'll get you all sorted.

No charge for the Angel Wings.
