So it was time for a new deck at Camp Capone in BOONTON USA. It lasted 30+ years and it's time. And 30 years ago, I wanted to get Trex and my wife said no. She wanted wood. Ah, we'll come back to that....
It is interesting when you are in a 'Sales and Marketing' business. Like me. Your mind always thinks about networking and connections and creating force-multipliers. So I found myself (once again) exploring Trex.com 30 years later. And then I thought about our partnership with the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. And how Morris County NJ is one of the wealthiest counties in the country. Not just New Jersey.
The entire country.
So I said to myself "Self, the folks that live in Morris County are Trex people. Since I aready have the file of the 570,000 living in Morris Country NJ why not do 'a test' marketing campaign for Trex. If it goes well, I bet I can sell those MQLs and SQLs (leads) to folks that install Trex. Heck I can sell those leads back to Trex themselves.
570,000 x 0.001 = 570 new Trex.com decks. That is super ultra conservative ROI.
Guess what: we got 6,000+ that said 'tell me more about Trex!'
I'll keep those leads myself. And so, now I'm a Trex reseller. See how it works?
Now Expert Level: What is the profile, what is the 'demographic' of the folks living in Morris Country NJ who are ready to buy (or are even contemplating buying) a Trex deck? These are folks that I want to know. I have lots of things to talk to them about. I wonder if they have a home office that can use some telecom & technology updating? Or if they own a business. Or if they are C-Suite level decision makers at work.
Ah, by the way... what do you do for a living?
