This morning the Chair of the GlobalDLA.org Dr. James Brown will be presenting in Orlando. 11/20/2025 marks the 'official' launch of the GlobalDLA.org

The New York Metro Distance Learning Association (NYDLA.org) was born in the 5 boroughs of New York City in 1983. Pre-Internet. During the COVID-19 pandemic (other than Zoom) I don't know of an entity that could have grown bigger and faster than the NADLA.org servicing all of North America.

And now, we are GLOBAL. High speed satellite broadband allows (all of us) to live, learn, work, play, teach, train, coach, mentor to/from anywhere in the world.

The NADLA.org services 174K+ schools (and their alumni) across North America. For the first time, more students attend Penn State World Campus than Penn State. More students attend PURDUE UNIVERSITY ONLINE than PURDUE UNIVERSITY. RUTGERS - The State University of New Jersey has 600K+ living alumni, with 360K+ living in New Jersey (like me). And now RUTGERS ONLINE services the world. Almost every school in North America now has an online world campus, or online certificate programs. 

Education = Quality of Life. I can still hear my grandparents and my parents voices: "Tommy, you gotta get a good education." Just as work is no longer a place that you go, but the thing that you do... we no longer 'go to school' as school now comes to us. TBLS (Technology Based Learning Systems) have arrived, for all of us.  

'School' is now anywhere (and everywhere) in the world. I'll see you on campus......
