I’ve never been an avid reader. Never have I liked to sit in a place and read.

My dad used to literally make me sit down and ask me to spend time reading the newspaper, but I picked up some good English from his scoldings and his persuasion to read instead of the reading actually.

The only favourite parts of my daily newspaper reading was the sports segment.

Apart from that, may be some weather forecast because I needed to get myself updated if incase rains could stop me going to school for the day.

🤩 Fascination
But more than those segments, I’ve always been fascinated by graphs…colored graphs. 

Be it some newspaper article dealing with some very important economic forecast, 
meh… but all that caught my eyes was the graph explaining the rise and fall and rise of data, I just loved the way how serious data were shown clearly in coloured cute charts… 

I’d keep staring at them for hours together. 

I’ve always liked the manhattan charts in a cricket score card, bar charts showing some currency stats, Venn diagrams in math classes, donut charts and pie charts in statistics… 

well, to me charts are sexy. 

Cut to today, I’m a UIUX designer, which involves interviewing users, capturing data, creating flows, designing mock-ups, compiling and documenting. 

There’s always graphs and charts that come into the work picture.

The best part is I don’t just deal with data and graphs all day. It’s like a cherry on the cake, like the morning dew on the flowers, just few instances yet brightens my day.

💡 The bulb moment
So, what if I could experiment more with graphs? So how about mapping charts by plotting real life relatable events?

So I started out listing all instances that any person would commonly come in their day and also adding in my daily events.

I’ve started this new page on Instagram, that I’ll be posting regularly on about charts and flows with daily events, that’s relatable or may be very relatable.
