Getting back with the keyboard and writing panel to put down my thoughts is so meditative and calm.. ah! It’s been so long since I’ve been here. Missed this, I’ll try to visit this place and don’t miss out keying in my thoughts and observations!
Just starting this series (hope it’d turn to be a series) called “The ‘Just somethings’” consisting my thoughts and observations that I come across…
Read this!
Just visited my aunt last weekend, after 5 years I guess, when we started talking current affairs, politics, rains at Chennai, she just remembered to offer me something and headed to the kitchen for prepping some tea! She yelled out “you know what, we’re changing home, so there are a pile of books on the side table, you wanna check em out?”. While I’m just a sucker for some light reading and non-fiction books, I just thought why not start something in fiction and comedy. Packed almost half a dozen from her shelf.
Just started to read “The women who forgot to invent Facebook and other stories” by Nisha Susan, where the author gently takes a stroll around her past experiences of how her gang used to break stereotypes-be it the way they dress, how they practise dance, impressing guys, how and where they meet, etc.. Firstly, I find it new from a woman’s perspective because I’ve always felt the reception is warm when men/boys say out things about their (sexual too) desires while it’s never the case with women/girls. A desire, just a desire, which can’t be taken well..but the author goes on beautifully writing her desires and experiences.
Let’s see how I finish this!
Heard this!
I’ve been and will always be a fan of Ilayaraja’s works. Though I’ve heard Ilayanila Pozhigurathey a bazillion times, I just came across this Guitar Prassana’s practise video explaining the underlying missed beauty of the bass guitar, totally unnoticed!
All i say is “Wah Raaja Waah!” 🙏🏼

Catch you later!
Have a great week ahead,
