Tomorrow's the last day. Today was a good day. It was pretty laid back and steady. I'm ready to finish this strong. Here's the recap.
Bible Reading Zechariah 14 - Another harsh prophesy here. Bad things will happen, but God will avenge and redeem it.
Workouts
I went out for a steady tempo ride on my road bike for 90 minutes. It was a bit chilly, but the sun was shining. I did put in one hard effort up a half mile hill that runs through a cow pasture. I set a new PR for myself by over 15 seconds. It felt really good.
Reading I read chapter 3 of Bringing up Boys. Dobson talked a lot more about the differences of men and women and how it all comes down to brain chemistry. Mainly because of the differences in levels of testosterone, serotonin and the size of the amygdala. This was all pretty interesting. It was reassuring too, because Jordan Peterson referenced some of these differences in his book that I just finished, and the two books were in alignment. As much as our culture wants to push sameness on the sexes, our brain chemistry won't have it. Gender is not a social construct, it is a biological fact. We can't change it, we can only understand it.
Diet Breakfast: Sourdough bread with peanut butter and jelly. Lunch: cheese stick and an apple. Dinner: Tacos from amigos Snack: Sunflower seeds.
Progress weight was a little up this morning. Probably partly due to weight lifting yesterday. It increases water retention. But it wasn't too bad. Weighed 181.
Husband and Father are my two favorite titles. I have 4 wonderful children and a beautiful wife. Everything else I do in life is a means to building my family. I'm also a software engineer with a focus on operating web apps on AWS. All the rest of my free time is mainly spent riding bicycles on roads and trails.
