2/3s done! Only 25 days left. It's been a good journey so far and I've learned a lot. I'm excited to finish strong. Here's today's recap.
Bible Reading Micah 7 - Despite all of the evil in the world, there is redemption promised.
Workouts Got out on the road bike today. It's much more faithful than the trail bike. Got in a solid 90 minute ride.
Reading Continuing to learn about the importance of disciplining children in 12 Rules for Life. Peterson begins to write about both forms of discipline, praise and punishment. Both are necessary. Life is not all positive, and it's not all negative. Children need controlled and intentional exposure to both from their parents to learn how to adjust and respond to the different types of feedback the world will give. He also writes about pain and anxiety vs. hope and pleasure. These are along a spectrum of emotions that children will experience as they receive different types of feedback from the world. They need someone to guide them through these emotions.
Diet Breakfast: sourdough bread with butter Lunch: apple, mixed nuts, cheese stick and some Gatorade. Dinner: steak salad and chicken wings from Longhorn.
Husband and Father are my two favorite titles. I have 4 wonderful children and a beautiful wife. Everything else I do in life is a means to building my family. I'm also a software engineer with a focus on operating web apps on AWS. All the rest of my free time is mainly spent riding bicycles on roads and trails.
