Today was a tired day. I felt like I was catching up on rest from the day before, and really had to fight off cravings for laziness to get it done. But I did, so here's the recap.
Bible Reading Nahum 2: Ninevah falls.
Workouts Got in a walk, it was cold compared to yesterday, but really not all that bad. I also did a bit of yoga in the evening.
Reading I started rule 6 of Peterson's 12 Rules for Life. The rule is titled, "Put your own house perfectly in order before you criticize the world." He opens by sharing some stories about the imperfection of humans and how they struggled to deal with it, sometimes lashing out in murderous frenzies, like the columbine shootings. He also contrasts that with how some people will endure great abuses as children or even in adulthood, but go on to live very redeeming lives, stopping the abuse rather than passing it down. I'm looking forward to learning more about the chapter in tomorrow's reading.
Diet Breakfast: Eggs, Bacon and sourdough bread Lunch: Left over crusted parmesean chicken with brussel sprouts. Dinner: Chicken alfredo with rotini and some soughdough bread snacks: sunflower seeds
Husband and Father are my two favorite titles. I have 4 wonderful children and a beautiful wife. Everything else I do in life is a means to building my family. I'm also a software engineer with a focus on operating web apps on AWS. All the rest of my free time is mainly spent riding bicycles on roads and trails.
