Bible reading Habakkuk 1 - Now that the Assyrians are done, it's Babylon's turn to be God's instrument of judgment against his rebellious people. But Habakkuk, in his prophecy, cries out to God for mercy and God promises mercy in due time. It's an interesting back and forth.
Workouts
It was a bit on the warmer side, though a little wet. I really struggled with motivation, but decided to go out for a 90 minute easy ride. I tried to keep the effort completely aerobic, though I did find myself putting in a few anaerobic kicks towards the end. It felt good though.
Reading I'm continuing rule 7 of 12 Rules for Life. The rule is to do what is meaningful, not what is expedient. When we seek expedience, we're only living in the moment and not thinking about the future. This rule is all about thinking about our future selves and our future families. It's about learning to delay immediate pleasure so that a greater positive good can be created for future people.

Progress 183.9. Even though I'm riding this plateau, I do find it encouraging. Almost 10 years ago now when I was in the Navy I struggled to maintain a weight this low. 183 was the weight I had to be to make weigh ins for my physical fitness test without having to undergo body fat measurements. I think I only made this weight twice, and one of those times was at the end of basic training. It's a good place to be for me.
Husband and Father are my two favorite titles. I have 4 wonderful children and a beautiful wife. Everything else I do in life is a means to building my family. I'm also a software engineer with a focus on operating web apps on AWS. All the rest of my free time is mainly spent riding bicycles on roads and trails.
