Only 15 more days to make it through. It was a beautiful day today. It was busy, but I had a plan and executed it well. Here's the recap.
Bible Reading
I started reading Haggai. This minor prophet was a nice change of pace from what I've been reading lately. It's all about rebuilding the temple. God is giving instructions to rebuild the temple though Haggai to the governor and high priest of Judah. And they seem to be listening.
Workouts
We went for a family hike at Cheeks Bend Bluff with my in-laws and Annika and the kids. It was only about 2 miles, but we took our time and did a lot of exploring. It's one of our favorite places to hike. It has great bluff views overlooking the duck river and a couple of cool caves you can climb into. It's also a pretty mild hike with a well beaten trail and not too much elevation. Later in the evening I did some yoga abs and stretching to finish out the time.



Reading
I started Rule 9 of 12 Rules for Life. The rule is titled "Listen to people like they might know something you don't." It's about having genuine conversations with other people, where both parties are thinking honestly out loud with one another. They're sharing true thoughts and feelings, and are being heard and not talked over.
Diet
Breakfast: Bacon and oatmeal with brown sugar
Lunch: Some sourdough bread and a cheese stick
Dinner: Tacos from Amigos
Snacks: a granola bar, an apple, a cheese stick and a mandarin.
