It was a Monday focused on returning to routine. The grand parents headed back home, and there were not only sad kids to deal with, but also work and school and all that goes with everyday life. While everyday life is oftentimes mundane, it is also toilsome and hard. But when there is order in your life through routine and habits, it is far more manageable. I'm discovering this anew for each day I get through this challenge. Here's today's recap.
Bible Reading
Zechariah 1 - God is coming to restore Jerusalem, Judah and Israel and it seems this is continuing Haggai's prophecy of the temple being rebuilt.
Workouts

Had another beautiful day of sunshine and warmth. Got in a 21 mile bike ride that took about an hour and 20 minutes. I put in one really hard effort to set a PR on a Strava hill segment. I did over 400 watts for over 2 minutes. This is almost 200% of my functional threshold power. Let's just say my lungs have been hurting all day after that effort. I did set a PR though by around 5 seconds over a half mile hill climb averaging about 8% gradient. I'm almost into the top 10 times set on the climb by the locals around middle Tennessee. I would love to break into that top 10 by the summer. Later in the evening I did 10 minutes of a Yoga ab workout. It, also, was not easy.
Reading
I started rule 10. It's about the importance of being precise in your language. Peterson starts by explaining some of the nuances of human perception and how details of our environments are so important in how we make decisions on how to respond to what we perceive. I can see a bit about where this is going in that if we communicate imprecisely, it will make sense that people don't respond how we might expect them to.
Diet
Breakfast: Sourdough bread
Lunch: Chicken tenders with a cheddar cheese stick
Dinner: Left over chicken alfredo pasta
Snacks: mandarin, sunflower seeds, a bit of deli ham and an apple. Also had some Gatorade on my bike ride.
Progress
Weight was up a little. I was 183.6. Starting to seesaw a bit in this plateau.

Water
