Dolly starts, Moroni into midfield: Tigers v Clermont team news

After a resounding win away in France in the first leg last weekend, Tigers welcome Clermont to Mattioli Woods Welford Road for the conclusion. They take a 19 point advantage into the game and it’s hard to see anything other than a Tigers win.

That said, you can be sure that such complacency from we fans will not be anywhere near this Borthwick coached side. He’ll be preparing this side to treat the game as a one-off, and ensure they win. Do that, and any maths will stay well out of the equation.

📺 Kick off is 5.30pm on Saturday 16 April, and the game is live on BT Sport.

Tigers have made five changes to the starting line-up for this one. Julián Montoya gets a well earned week off with Nic Dolly starting; Jasper Wiese and Calum Green shift to the bench with Harry Wells and Eli Snyman stepping up; Matías Moroni comes in for the suspended Guy Porter; and Chris Ashton gets a European start ahead of Hosea Saumaki.

💬 Ahead of the game, head coach Steve Borthwick had this to say:

The focus is on this weekend, not anything we have done before in this competition. It is a new week, a new game and our objective—like every time we represent Leicester Tigers—is to play tough and deliver a performance our supporters can be proud of at full time.
