Former Tigers CEO Simon Cohen set to sue club for unfair dismissal and loss of earnings

The RugbyPass website is reporting that Leicester Tigers former CEO, Simon Cohen, is set to sue the club:

RugbyPass understands that the ex-Tigers CEO is set to appear in court this Monday in Leicester and is suing for unfair dismissal and for loss of earnings, arising out of his exit from the club.

Cohen departed the club in May 2020 with Andrea Pinchen taking over as CEO.

Without knowing the legal merits of his intent to sue, it’s hard to ignore the turnaround that’s taken place with Tigers since Pinchen took over and Steve Borthwich was installed as head coach in July 2020.

With the findings regarding alleged salary cap breaches still awaiting publication, this is undoubtedly another distracting story Tigers could do without.

Update: BBC Radio Leicester understand this to have now been settled out of court.
