One of the best things writing software is when you find the inspiration to solve a problem.

For me, we are often sharing recipes in family WhatsApp groups. These are hard to keep track of and find later down the line.

When looking online for a recipe and you have to accept 16 cookie banners and read the author's life story to find out how they bake their sourdough it can be a bit unwieldy.

When you manually have to start timers and calculate when certain parts will be finished.

All of these small issues are going to be solved in the Recipe app I'm building.

I've started to stitch together the UI whilst building the blocks in the back-end.

The domain recip.pe has been purchased and is waiting to go!

I want to get to an MVP where I can invite my family members to have an easy place to share these recipes

Further down the line, I want to be able to scan a Gousto card and it uses OCR to upload the recipe for people.

I doubt this will be big, but it will be fun and useful for us!

Quando scrivi un Software, una delle cose migliori è il momento in cui trovi l'ispirazione per risolvere un problema.

Nel mio caso, spesso condividiamo ricette nei gruppi WhatsApp della famiglia. Queste sono difficili da trovare in seguito.

Quando cerchi una ricetta online e devi accettare 16 ‘cookie banners’ e leggere la storia della vita dell’autore per scoprire come fanno il pane, può essere un po’ scomodo.

Quando è necessario avviare manualmente i timer e calcolare quando le parti saranno finite. 

Tutti questi piccoli problemi verranno risolti nell’app Ricette che sto costruendo.

Ho iniziato a mettere insieme l’interfaccia utente mentre costruivo i blocchi nel back-end.

Il dominio recip.pe è stato acquistato ed è in attesa di partire!

Vorrei arrivare a un MVP (un prodotto minimo funzionale) dove posso invitare i miei familiari ad avere un posto facile dove condividere queste ricette.

Dopo, vorrei scansionare una carta di Gousto e utilizzare l’OCR per caricare la ricetta per le persone.

Non penso che sarà una cosa grossa, ma sarà divertente e utile per noi!
