I had a thought today while listening to the Modern Wisdom podcast. Chris' guest was talking about how in religions they reinforce the narratives by repeating phrases. In Islam, you pray 5 times a day. In judaism you read from the Torah each week. This is because we are all humans and we forget things all the time. Being reminded of things can help guide us.
A way to ensure that we, as people, can remember some of the good things, we can repeat them over and over. It made me think that maybe we as humans would do well to have a list we could take out a few times a day and read them.
I imagine that my list would look something like this:

I imagine that my list would look something like this:
- I have two fantastic girls.
- My wife is the rock of my life
- I have freedom and liberties in my job.
- I have friends that support me and are there for me in times of need.
This list is just a short one that I came up with off of the top of my head. What would be great would be if I somehow was presented with this list once or twice during the day. Now that I think of it, it reminds me of a feature in an app that I wanted to build some time ago. The idea was just getting a single one of the every time I logged into the application.
The list could even have some things that are less static. Like: "I'm happy to be on Vacation in Spain".
Anyways, maybe there is power in setting up a ritual of a few kind words to oneself to read over during the day. Sort of like a prayer to help strengthen ones resolve, or help out during rough times.
