Yesterday I decided it was time to start work on the remake of my personal website. I want a place where I can publish more of my writing. I have a longing to try out digital gardening. I have the horsepower needed to keep working on something like a zettlekasten or a digital garden. I want to make my own personal version of it. This does require a little rethinking of my current website.

The very first thing I want to check off of the list, is making my site more prose friendly. Currently, it is very minimalistic, and dare I say, boring. I hope to make my website more personal, and a lot better for reading purposes.

My first investigation on that topic was finding a good font face, and working out the proper sizing on different screens and sizes. I quickly fell in love with the "Lora" font, so this is what I am sticking with for now. What is a little more challenging is actually working out how I want the sizing to work responsively.

I have been in react land too long. I haven't thought very carefully about sizes for a long time. In fact, I can see the way we set sizing nowadays differs greatly from how I used to set it up. So far, it has been a journey with more challenges than I anticipated. Lucky for me, I have found it to be quite interesting.
