It's a normal Wednesday, I'm feeling great. Coffee needs to cool down for a few minutes still. My thoughts are many places this morning. At least have been since the car ride to drop off my two girls.
When I say my thoughts are 'many places', I mean this in a very positive way. I have ideas and stories that I wish to remember. I can often get overwhelmed by my ideas. Usually, they will be a mix of all of the above. But can sometimes be to abstract, or just overly ambitions to the extent that I cannot do a thing about them.
Writing about them is one way for me to calm ideas down. I will usually get a kick, from doing something about the idea, which then alleviates some of the pressure that has built up. An added bonus is that the writing reveals flaws or obstacles that I cannot overcome at this moment, which also slows everything down.
Mmmms, still a little hot that coffee. Still, very good.
I noticed today, something that I have noticed many times before. When I listen to an audiobook or a podcast, I very often have this influx of ideas, like the sensation described earlier. The audio medium does something to me. It kickstarts things in my brain, and I sometimes have to stop what I am doing and get the idea off of my chest in order to function or pay attention to what I was listening to.
This is both fantastic but also burdensome at times. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Now, back to work. Back to my coffee.
