I just got a new record on monkey type! 74 words per minute. I'm both excited and not excited about that. Anywho, I just had a thought about my writing. You see, I was thrown out of it a few weeks ago when the roof planning and the actual roof building took over my life. I have since struggled a little bit to get back into the swing of things for my every day.
I feels a little bit like I had take a vacation. This brings two things to mind. Firstly, I need to be more robust when I am doing things that are out of the ordinary. I need things that keep me grounded to my routines or everything starts slipping. Luckily my absolution to not use social media added with not having had that coolaid for quite some time makes that easy. That I my greatest fear of 'relapsing'. Gaming is dull to me know, so chance of that happening either.
I did feat not being able to pick up my new writing goal. It is as if I suddenly stripped a quite important part of my day: Writing and dumping my random thoughts onto paper. I had set a different goal for the first writing of the day, and it seems like it might have taken my writing routine away from me.
Is that because I suddenly had a specific topic I now needed to adhere to? Or was it hard to start because I might not have thought about the subject matter enough? hard to tell. My interests sometimes shift like the wind, and this might have been what happened once again.
In any case, it feels great to write randomly again. Let us start over with this once again :)
