Dear Cole--
Who knew that 6 years ago, when you chose the trombone as the instrument you wanted to try, that we'd be watching you join every musical group at school this year (concert band, jazz band, symphony orchestra, and marching band) and be bursting with pride every time we get to hear you perform?  It has been an amazing 6 years watching you grow and seeing your confidence increase.  You auditioned for a solo in this year's marching band!  I'm seriously impressed with your ability to just go for it.  I could tell that you are proud of the hard work you've put in when you told me that your band director gave you positive feedback about your audition for the blue jazz band today.  Mom and I are so proud to see you using your gifts and enjoying what you do.  Regardless of the outcome of your audition, we love you and are proud of everything you do.  Keep it up!
