Our ceiling collapsed in the middle of the night...

The water was coming on from a blocked drain on the balcony... 

The wife went out wrapped in a towel and started clearing the drain in a puddle about 6 inches deep with freezing water...

Eventually she shouted to me 'can you get out of bed and use the torch on your phone to help me see, please'...

I shone the torch for a minute or two and then said 'can you please hurry up some water from the rain is wetting my hair a little'...

Neither of us were concerned about the ceiling the following day...
