People can be quick to pounce on others when they hear something they dislike/think they know better... (Polarise and Pounce)
As a consequence they completely miss that the other may well be highly capable of outlining their own side much better than they could...
However, by that time those who got pounced on may have wisely decided to close their mouths and conserve their breath...
The Polarising Pouncer lost out, likely concluded the other was an idiot that was quickly defeated and struts off to find the agreeable...
Just how many opportunities can people miss before they realise that they're constantly shooting themselves in the foot by default?
