Dear Roosevelt Landings Neighbors,
Paul Krikler and I, he's the Chair of the Roosevelt Island CB8 Committee, have teamed up to put some bite into the community's efforts to secure priority boarding on our tram. If you're tired of the absurdly long lines, camera's in your face, and tourist kids racing for the seats that should go to the elderly and disabled, tomorrow, 12/19, is the day to publicly express your discontent.
Here's the schedule for tomorrow's protest activities:
3 PM - 4:15 Manhattan side of the tram
4:45 - 5:30 Good Shepherd Plaza
5:30+ RIOC Meeting (Public Session) inside the Good Shepherd Chapel
Your attendance can help push this protest into the public eye. We're expecting press coverage.
If you'd like to speak during the RIOC Public Session, be sure to log onto the RIOC Site and register as a speaker in the comment period. https://rioc.ny.gov/FormCenter/Meetings-4/Speakup-43
You must do so by 10 AM on the morning of the meeting.
