Our article 78 challenge against both the Public Service Commission and L&M was filed today. We will quickly know if the judge will grant an immediate restraint to sub-metering. 

Meanwhile, we are preparing for our next legal challenge. We hope you will attend the affirmation signature session at the 12th floor lounge at 546 Main Street at 7 PM tomorrow night to help with this course of action. 

In addition... many of you will receive your first "shadow bill" that reflects what you would have been charged had the landlord been able to send you an actual bill for your July electricity use. If this charge exceeds the rent roll-back they have stipulated for your apartment. you're in deep trouble.

Attached you will find a "Lipstick-on-a-Pig" Flier to tell the world what the landlord is doing in this building. It is designed to enable you to indicate the amount of your bill and tape the flier to as many windows as possible in your apartment. While this won't have any legal impact, it will create negative publicity for the landlord. We intend to get the press involved in this fight to save our homes!
