Dear all-
Thank you for your email and for your patience regarding the submetering issue. As Joyce Short mentioned in her previous communication, the Public Service Commission's recent ruling has unfortunately reinstated the landlord's right to submeter. We understand this is concerning news, and we are actively exploring all available options to mitigate the impact on residents.
While we are committed to challenging this decision, we are currently focused on developing a “comprehensive strategy” to address the situation.
This includes ongoing discussions with building ownership to explore potential compromises and negotiate favorable terms. The recent developments, coupled with unforeseen circumstances, have slightly delayed our progress. We are working diligently to finalize our plan and will share a detailed update with you as soon as possible.
In the interim, please be aware that you may receive communications from the landlord concerning submetering. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this process.
We ask that everyone stand by. We will eventually request the involvement of building delegates -e.g. captains once plans are finalized
Sincerely,
Romano Reid
