In grade school, there was an undeveloped plot of land the neighborhood kids, and I would explore. Blackberry bushes with the longest, sharpest thorns overtook concrete foundations and abandoned scrap wood.
I vividly recall finding a split piece of wood with the shape of a sword that we would use to chop a tunnel into the thorny bushes. Because we didn't know what lay beneath, the path was unknown - which was the most exciting part.
The most exciting part of exploring is making a path (not following one).
"Enjoy the journey" means to get curious about the unknown, and take risks, safely. I always start with an outcome - a reason to get interested. Then it's up to me to find a way forward.
We all have an outcome that drives our curiosity. Know what it is and enjoy the journey.
