Part 1: expectations vs reality
It starts from a moment eyes meet. A conversation ensues, a connection starts, trust builds. You have this checklist of expectations that the individual you partnered with has to live up to because of experiences you’ve encountered or let-downs and disappointments from other people you were head over heals for. But in reality, no one checks off everything on that list because no one person is perfect. Why should someone have to pay for another human beings mistakes? I don’t think that’s thought about or matters at that point because selfishness creeps in and humans only worry about their happiness, not anyone else’s. Similarities are like assumptions. Once you see something that is a trigger for your old pain, you react and judge. But you jump the gun and cause conflict. we all came from something but can’t allow our experiences to judge a human being, they’re only supposed to make us aware. Ask questions, get facts. That’s why that thing called trust is important. If you don’t have trust, you are better off by yourself.
