Two out of two

A week ago I said I'd make a weekly update a habit, so here's the second update for the second week.

This week I:
  • Rebuilt my Openclaw implementation after breaking it and wrote about why I'm enjoying playing with it.
  • Caught up with an old friend for a beer. He also spent time in Canada so we both ended up having poutine.
  • Did some immigration lawyer admin to get closer to being with my person.
  • While I can't say I'm "back into fitness" unfortunately, I did go for a run, and 2 gigantic lakeside walks.
  • Ordered a wedding band. It ain't heavy, but the two lives, intertwined line got me.
  • Started capturing the thoughts about work/product that I have so that I can work on codifying it (on my personal site, and another small project I have in mind).

This week I didn't do:
  • Make a real roadmap for my AI experiments. Sometimes I find it easy to get stuck in planning and never doing, but it seems like with AI and tech, I lean more towards accidentally getting curious and shipping a thing in an afternoon. I think it's something to work on in myself - I want to make sure I have tangible things to talk about in 6 months, but I also want to let my curiosity/inspiration drive when it shows up with a full tank.

Next week I'll:
  • Do hypertrophy workout(s) to get my biceps jacked.
  • Write another (non weekly update) post.
  • Make a start on the "codifying my work/product thoughts" project.
  • Rewrite one of my janky pre-LLM coded apps with AI.
  • Get back into eating the same breakfast every day (because it's just fuel and I don't have to think, and I don't accidentally overthink until it's lunchtime and realize I skipped breakfast).
