Hello there ππΌ I'm back with another instalment of What I Heard, Read and Saw. As a reminder this is my first mini series I started back in September where I'll be posting whenever I fill up these three slots β one for something interesting I recently listened to, one for something I read that I liked, and one for something I saw that caught my eye! So here goes #3.
Heard
The one that got filled in last and itβs gotta be the recent episode from The School of Greatness podcast where Phil Heath, a legend in the bodybuilding world and Lewis (host) talk about:
Why you shouldnβt be afraid to reinvent yourself.
Admittedly I had something else in mind for this section but I couldn't ignore the recent tragic events in Ukraine and wanted to address the importance of Earth Observation and Remote Sensing when it comes to acquiring important information for such matters.
The article by Matt Forrest provides insights on how satellite imagery (mostly by Maxar) has helped to identify and track the convoy moving towards Kyiv. Such satellites capture daily images and enable unprecedented transparency to the world to better understand the situation in Ukraine (and personally I find it quite fascinating).
Saw
Happy days!! The most worrying days of the pandemic seem to be a thing of the past (let's hope)! Visiting galleries is back in full swing and I couldn't omit an honorary visit and a subsequent mention here to the RA.
The Last Supper replica painting found in the in Collection Gallery at the Royal Academy of Arts (aka RA for us Londoners).
