I find it hard to discipline myself with iPhone apps like instagram, twitter and even LinkedIn.
I go looking for distractions. And I never feel good about it.
To break myself out of the unhealthy habit of scrolling endlessly, what works for me is simply deleting the apps from my phone.
As a better alternative, I’m working myself into to the habit of reading through my favourite email letters. I’ve got them all organised in to a ‘favourite letters’ label in HEY so it’s easy for me to only see those letters, and then I spend some time reading what I actually want to read.
It feels a lot more intentional, and it’s much more interesting.
Also, there’s only a few letters to read at a time - once you’re done, you’re done!
