TODAY'S RAMBLINGS No clever post today. Instead, I am asking anyone that is reading this to send whatever they can to Ukraine.
As is nearly everyone, I continue to be extremely impressed by the leadership we've seen from Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. His speech to Congress on Wednesday was powerful, as is his country's amazing resistance to a woefully misguided invasion by Putin. What an example of resilience and determination for us all.
Ukraine has unexpectedly inspired many in the world to make tomorrow better. Let's help them - and us - get there: I hope you'll join Julie and me in a donation to one or more of the organizations listed at the link. I find the Airbnb and Etsy approaches especially innovative and clever ways to get money directly in to the hands of Ukrainian civilians on the ground.
On a personal note: all four of our friend Arthur's grandparents are Ukrainian. 6 degrees of separation, indeed.
Lastly, if you haven't yet watched Ahnold's new video on the subject, you owe yourself the 9 minutes it will take. Bring Kleenex; I have not made it through once without getting emotional.
Have a great weekend and please help Ukraine in any way you can.
FROM THE UNWASHED MASSES Thank you to any one that is reading this newsletter.
KLUF No pithy intro. These songs speak for themselves as well as to the times in which we live. Here is a selection of mine of acoustic music by the Foo Fighters. I bet many of you have not heard these beyond-Diamond Certified arrangements before?
Here's a special KLUF video bonus suggestion for those of you that made it this far (thank you). Plus, it's a bright spot at the end of a dark newsletter post. If you have access to HBO, you really should be enjoying "Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty". It's just fun and Killer, whether you're a sports fan or not (ask Julie).
