I Logged Into a Client’s Notion Workspace and Promptly Fled Back to Basecamp

Popped into a client's Notion workspace yesterday evening. Blimey, what a palaver.

As someone who's very tech-savvy, I was utterly bewildered by the labyrinth I encountered. Blocks nested within blocks. Pages buried inside other pages. Databases masquerading as boards, tables, calendars and whatnot.

It's like being handed the controls to Concorde when all you wanted was a decent bicycle.

I've been using Basecamp for project management for years now. Its straightforward approach just works for me. Tools should fade into the background, not demand constant faffing about.

Nothing against those who fancy Notion's complexity. But personally? I'll stick with Basecamp, thanks very much. Because I'd rather focus on proper work than spend hours sorting out my workspace.

Sometimes less is more. Actually, most times.
