Review: DTF St. Louis, 2026 - ★★★★

I haven’t watched a lot of crime or detective miniseries, but I was sucked into this one on the promise of something dark and offbeat and featuring Jason Bateman. You might be there for the twist but I was easily drawn into the complex relationships and dynamics between this group of fallible friends, family, and coworkers. This production has just the right amount of dark and absurdist humour (from the creator of Patriot), midlife suburban turmoil (from the creator of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), and unexpected heart (from the creator of Wonder). I can’t wait for the rest of the spinoffs like DTF Cincinnati or DTF St. Paul. Or maybe WYD St. Louis or STI St. Louis. 🤟🏼
