What we hold onto

What we hold onto is probably what holds us back.

Believing that you have to keep all those sentimental possessions is holding you back from downsizing your house or travelling.

Believing that you have to go to that same hairdresser might be holding you back from having great hair by a new one.

Believing that you have to fulfil all these obligations that others want you to fulfil is holding you back from having autonomy over your time and working out what you really want to be doing.

So many of us are holding on to commitments and habits and beliefs that were true of old versions of ourselves but not current or future versions.

We have to let them go, move them aside and find the freedom that better options bring.
