Tech has become so overcomplicated that it's becoming a chore!
Heck, even having a website for you business nowadays has so many layers it's like peeling a never ending onion!
You have to get a domain name, a web host, a newsletter, be visible on social media, make sure you track everything, make your emails work etc. etc. etc.
Then when all that's done, you have the upkeep. And the never ending cycle of posting in said apps and services by clicking all over the place just to get a freaking thought out!
AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!
I'm done!
I've had enough!
I'm out!
Well, almost...
You see, I've had that exact system for years. And recently I even upgraded to a VPS to speed things up and 'self host' a bunch of apps myself.
Now don't get me wrong I loved doing it and with some help I managed to get it all working smoothly, mostly.
And it's that 'mostly' part that's the issue.
The annoyance of trying to get my thoughts out there by having to jump through hoops was crap and WAY too complicated!
This brings me to... today.
I've always said; "your first idea, is always your best idea".
My first idea was to have a simple, elegant solution that takes away all the fluff, the headaches and obstacles of simply sharing thoughts and ideas.
So I returned to my first original idea of having a single system where I'm able to send newsletters and have a blog in one place. And with the added bonus of having a great email host/app!
That place is HEY.
I'll write up another post about how and where I've hosted my personal and business related websites. It's so easy anyone could do it!
Oh, and don't worry, all my videos will always be on YouTube and Odysee.
I'll also be posting my articles, photos, thoughts etc. on HEY too. And over time I'll bring my old articles over to HEY.
